Wendy's Fixes It Fries

Wendy's Fixes It Fries - AdPulp

Cool - Wendy's is changing the oil they use to make their french fries (or are they freedom fries?). They will now be just 0.5 grams of fat for a large order.

One of Shira's and my favorite bad-for-us treats just became a little less bad-for-us.

Update: Thanks to Gareth, my gormet guru, for pointing out that I was wrong in the above post. Wendies fries will have 0.5 grams of trans fat, not total fat.

Oh well, a guy can dream, can't he? Thanks for catching that Gareth.

It should be noted that there will only be 0.5 grams of trans fat per order. Since a serving of any type of oil (olive, corn, canola, lard, etc) has the same number of grams of fat per serving (14), the total fat content of the fries will still be the same.

  2. Good point Gareth.

But aren't those non-trans fats good for me? Shouldn't I be eating more of them? Is it possible my current diet is actually deficient in fat?

    Oh. One can wish.

I guess this just goes to show...if something seems to good to be true, then it probably is.
