To Boston and Back - Home with Precious Cargo

How can I be this tired from travel, and yet, be in the exact same location I started in this morning?

At least I have a good excuse.

At about 6am this morning, Shira and I headed to the airport to catch a flight to Boston. Once landed, we made a small pickup, and then 90 minutes later boarded a flight back to DC. The 'pickup' was actually our nephew, and two nieces. We picked them up so they could spend a week in DC.

They did wonderful on the plane. Though, a good chunk of the credit goes to JetBlue which was terrific with them at every stage. From the free in-flight TV, to the really sweet baggage check lady that let them climb on the scale and attached the bag stickers to their wrists. The free cookies mid flight didn't hurt either.

After landing, eating and getting our bearings, we hit Theodore Roosevelt Island for a bit of hiking and plane spotting. The kids did great, and covered the perimeter of the island with almost no kvetching.

It's so wonderful to have them here. Though, I'm already beyond exhausted. I can't imagine what tomorrow is going to bring.
