For Shira's birthday lunch we tried a new Chinese resaurant - Oriental Star in Alexandria, VA. Their claim to fame (for us anyway) is that will make any dish (chicken, beef, pork, seafood) vegetarian by substituting tofu for the offending animal.
I tried Kung Pow Beef, Shira had Mushu Chicken. Both dishes were tasty and filled with tofu as promised.
The only questionable part of the experience was Shira's fortune cookie: "You were born with a silver spoon in your mouth." Ouch. The first time I've ever been offended by a fortune cookie.
If you eat veggie food - this place is worth a try.
