Chanukah Night 3 - Taco Style

Tonight we celebrated night 3 of Chanukah with our friends Lauren and Nick. Nick made his family's traditional Chanukah treat: potato tacos. They have all the tastyness of traditional latkes, but allow you to add salsa and guacamole. Mmm, mmm, good.

Lauren made perfectly decorated and perfectly tasting brownies as desert. She managed to make them both Chanukah and Shira-Birthday oriented.

We've been so fortunate to spend Chanukah celebrating with friends this year. Lauren and Nick, thanks so much for hosting us.

Happy Chanukah ya'll - hope you're seeing the light.

  1. MMmmmmm Potato Tacos sounds delightful. Are you able to put sour cream and cheese on it too?

  2. @jordan... you can put anything you like on them... (well as latkes go, I'd skip the apple sauce)... I think the list of condiments we had included (but not limited) salsa, chopped lettuce/tomatos, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, refried beans, sautéed vegetables, a corn salad... and I think I'm still missing something.....

and Ben, nice safe photo choices

  3. Hey Jordon -

Sour create and cheese are a definite yet.

Beef, pork or shrimp - not so much.

    They were delish...
